Default Cluster question

my temp gauge went out, and ive tried every sensor there is to replace, so im guessing its my cluster.. is it just better to replace the whole cluster or go ahead and but a temp gauge piece that i believe they sell at tas but its pretty damn expensive. I guess im kinda scared to buy a whole cluster and the temp gauge still not end up working... it just stopped one day while i was driving and scared the **** out of me b.c i thought my car over heated but it didn't, everything works on the cluster except that temp guage, and ive tried all sensors and nothing, so my question is, will a new cluster indeed fix the temp gauge? or should i still try to fix the sensors.. is it more likely the gauge just went out or the sensor went out?

Ebayzzz

Pick up a used cluster auto or manual for ~$40 shipped

Then sell the parts you don't need here.

Yeah I went on a spree and replaced bits of mine lol.

I've got two clusters in my garage.
