Default 1st gen CRX si D16A1 turbo *having SMOKE PROBLEMS!!!* ~motor rebuilt~

ok i started a home made project on a 86 crx not too long ago,
but the point is that after driving around for like 10 mins my car starts smoking alot at the stop lights unless if i have it reved up a lil higher. and once i take off it stops smoking and continues on normal.
and the motor is rebuilt with turbo pistons
its a D16A1 DOHC from a 89 integra

any good guesses????

maybe your turbo seals are shot.

do you have a restrictor in the turbo oil feed? if not, check out one from ATP turbo , or many other places.

turbo seals are a possibility, but you said it only does it at a stop, when its idling. Oil pressure increases as the motor increases rpm's, so your smoking problem would most likely get alot worse when you accelerate. you have alot of vacuum at idle, maybe your pulling oil through some shot valve seals and burning it up in the chamber.

cant be valve seals becouse the motor is rebuilt like i said at first. and for the restrictor, it has one already. and right now its gotten worse to the point where it smoke most of the time now. but i did unplug the oil feed line and the smoking stoped, so for sure it has to do with the turbo.
so probably turbo seal??? cuz the turbo is used
or any other theories??

that feed line is HUGE!!! a turbo does not need that much oil. get a -3 line and a restrictor fitting.

is that pressure at the turbo, or pre-restrictor.

the feed line will work, if you've got a restictor, its not big deal
