Anything to keep the balljoint from spinning?

Is there anything like a flat cut or anything under the boot to hold the balljoint to prevent it from spinning?

you just need to put some weight on the spindle if you want the ball joint to stop spinning. cause if you put vice grips on the boot you will rip it up and it will be point less

Use some penatrant, like wd 40 or something, and try putting weight on the spindle, if that doesn't work, you need an air compressor and an impact gun

I've always just put pressure on the joint, that normally causes onought friction to help get it spinning. Most of the time i just use a pickle fork.

the problem is the castlenut.

buy a new castle nut or rethread the old nut. either 10x1.25 or 12x1.25mm, tie rod end or lower balljoint respectively.
