Default PS line cut - Q about re-installing PS

Ok, so the previous owner of the car took out the power steering pump, and he cut the line that goes from the rack to the pump. It's cut on the rubber section, close to the metal fitting part that actually goes into the pump.

I'm in the process of a b16 SiRII swap and I'd like to reinstall PS, but will I need to get a whole new rack because the hose was cut? Or am I good to just go to a wrecker, cut off the metal fitting, and clamp it to my cut hose? How much pressure is it under?

TIA!

The rack iteself had threads so you wont need a new rack. I don't remember if the power steering lines that connect to the pump are solid or bolted on. I think they have banjo fittings right? If so just grab a new line.

NO!

Just order a whole new line. It is screwed in with a NPT fitting into the rack and simply bolted in to the pump.
