just as the topic says, do g3 tegs accept 6x9s in the back cuz stock i believe are 6 1/2s i think. also does anyone know a good combination or full set of spkrs (including components) that i can run w a 50x4 deck to get decent clarity and bass? i dont think i plan on running an amp...i'm not TOO big on sound...just want a decent sounding system.

 

In a Hatchback? Maybe w/ brackets. In a sedan i think you could try to cut it out or do a bottom mount? Not sure bout that, anyone else... But why a 6x9 if not planning on running an amp..

 

6x9 will not fit! i have 5.25 midbass in there right now and they fit perfectly. Even if you try to put 6.25 you will have fitment issues even though everyone says they'll fit properly

 

no they wont fit, i put infinty kappa 3 ways in the rear of my integra and the speakers grills wont even go back on. it sucked

 

what size? and what did you do to modify the stock speaker hole?

I put 6.5's in there, and they fit just fine, although you have to remove the rear panel in the 2dr.

 

I just ordered a set of 6.5" components for the front and 6.5" coaxials for the rear of my 2dr teg. are you saying they won't fit? what do I need to do?

i had boston 6.5" in the back stock location. if you want some more bass from the rear speakers do a custom install job and put 6x9 in the rear hatch cover just cut them out with a jig.

 

Some people have a problem, other's do not. It depends on their depth.
