just had my ngk wires installed along with iridium 9 spark plugs for my 98 prelude. arent they supposed to make my car start faster. and if they dont, do i need a better/diff distributor?
The plug wires that you put in do not need a better distrubtor. Replacing the wire to racing wires does not really add that much power and the car will start the same way it all was starts.

What/where is the dist cap/rotor located. Someone else told me to do that, i mean to replace those things

if you looking for better ignition go with msd distributor cap and rotor, and the coil while your at it. i recently did a full tune up on my car and it runs much more smoother than it did before, i changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, pcv valve, fuel filter, oil change, air filter, and changed the coolant that is pretty much it.

You payed someone else to install plug wires??
I can't imagine why that would make your car start faster unless your old plugs where messed up really bad. You do not need a different distributor, nor are there any made for an H22.
And MSD ignition parts are not better than OEM as far as replacement parts go.

Do you let your fuel pump prime before you start it? It takes a second to get fuel pressure going, so if you let pump prime (by turning the ignition, but not starting it) it may start faster.
there isnt anything you can really do ignition wise on a stock motor that is going to make the car noticable faster. Dynos have shown a few whp gain but nothing you would notice.
Changing your wires and other maintaince isnt going to make your car "faster" maybe it will feel faster than before but that would only be if your old wires and parts were worn. The only thing you should probably see is an increase in mpg, which IMO is more important these days on a DD.
