My uncle told me any engine i might get in my first car he would help me fix up. I know i might get a crappy engine depending on what car i get so i need ur guys help, which one of these would you choose to fix up and think would reach full potential?

since when does a b16 come stock in a usdm civic?? lol, btw the fastest engine would be like a jet engine, but you have lag after you turn of thurster and when you start it. but good luck.

The b16 comes in the 99-00 EM1's (Civic SI), yes i know the OP was asking if a b16 came in a eg, but you didnt specify which chassis so...

 

i'd say import a d14 from europe

when the 99-00 SI came out with a B16a2 engine

 

or even before the si was the del sol...

I agree.

 

my dad was smart...he made me drive my cx with the stock 8v for 6 months so i wouldnt kill myself. and btw delsols came with a b16a3 and b16a2 before the si.

 

do some research, swaps arent bad to do.. just takes time and money. b16 is a decent motor.... plenty of different setup, it really depends on what you are trying to get out of the car...

he did say EG... Honda Civic Del Sol's also came in an EG chassis with a B16A3.... which would make that an EG civic with a stock b16...

if hes gonna waste all that time building it, why do it for bottle purposes if he wants a fast engine?? once he first gets used to nitrous hes gonna have to refill, than refill, than refill... why not just go the F.I. route that doesn't require a refill, Boost my friend... Built n Boosted is the way to go on a single cam.. Bottles are for babies...

so just swap out the single cam an throw it away..???

i dont disagree with taking the single cam out, but only if u plan on building it to throw it back in... That's money well spent right there, plus the gratification of seeing peoples **** eatin grins when u haul *** off on them in ur Boosted D... Track or no track, its always a good feeling...

 

No Love for the B20/Vtec/boosted? thats where i would go, thats what im doing

stop making threads about a swap. this is your second one. just look at the first thread in this section.

 

Just build a D16 and boost it. If you blow it up, it's not like D16s are a dime a dozen. I'd be a little ticked if I toasted a fresh B20/Vtec rather than say, a d16.
