I heard they extend the intake chamber under the car and it comes up behind the passenger compartment F1 style.

the intake filter will be located near the compartment in front of the passenger side wheel

just get a snorkle and call it a day. It would look better too instead of having a filter on a stick.

you should just run an open pipe for better airflow....(seriously though, my friend had a cai and at stock height his motor hydrolocked)..

must have been - you would need to be in about 18 inches of water to hydrolock your motor.

The best CAI is a system that draws air in from Alaska and feeds it into the stock box...

well i guess a stupid question deserves a stupid answer but,

Any cai will run down in threw the front of the car where the rad is and then finish off behind the bumper on the passanger side. It is down here to suck cooler air as every 10 degree drop is = to 1whp.

You dont have to worrie about anything if you/they do a proper job, not hack up your fender liner or drive threw rivers!

K&N and acouple other companies make cCAI boxes that fit right behind the passangers headlight. Best bet IMO.

I have a spoon snorkle that goes into the stock airbox that works great, and I've no problems with it in the rain or puddles.

x2

but back to the topic...
i've not heard of many CIA's that even make power for the s2000...especially for the money. one of the guys i know that tunes honda's also said he hasn't been impressed w/ the gains of any CIA on s2k. the spoon snorkle is probably the best option that i've seen so far. but i just put a carbon cooling plate on my stock box from AUT design. i dunno if it helps at all, but it made me feel better. lol. when i bought my car it had a CIA that ran to the front of the car, passenger side. it made the car loud as **** but the engine bay looked like hell. i got a stock air box and oem filter and the car felt a lot stronger after. i've seen a lot of people insulate their stock box and an aftermarket insulated air tube. i think spoon makes one? don't remember. regardless, you won't have to worry about sucking water into ur motor w/ a stock air box! and w/ a k&n filter you're car will still sound pretty damn loud even w/ stock exhaust.
