I had a greddy header and greddy cat back on my em1 and put stock stuff on there...well not oem cat back but had one made. Im thinking the muffler that the muffler shop put on is causing my problems. The car is better in low rpm's and by that I mean it seems more torquey and not so boggy. In vtec though it's just not the same, the car is not getting the air out or something. I know the aftermarket header and cat back does not make that noticable a difference so Im just thinking the muffler is killing me. My question is will putting just an axle back on (I'm thinking an apexi ws2 to keep it as quiet as possible) give me the same low end non boggy feel but give me my vtec back. I went from putting 2-3 cars on my friend in any type of race to running door to door with him. I know exhaust does not make that big a difference.
