Default Interesting, Yet Educational Thread in Road Racing Forum

This thread talks about the opinions on the pissing-dog/3-wheeler motion. Some of us occasional trackers might find it educational. It can also be read as a Seinfeld show. Enjoy :

"Do u think a strut bar is nice?"

.....wow.

Wai, I'm not sure whether to you for showing us a thread where you're getting bashed...

OR

Give you a big for being mature enough to ignore the jabs and focus on the content anyway.

Good thread.

I guess the cliff's notes are:

"It don't matter - set up the car to go fast and whether it lifts a wheel or not if of *little* conseqeuence." See also; handling w/ w/out ABS...

-the r0cker, who is still too slow to relate... maybe one day.....

I don't know what's wrong with that guy. He said he talked like that because of the history. but based on what I read in the previous threads, he acted more like an *** clown.

Scott also knows how to setup a car. He's quite good actually, ESPECIALLY with the G3 Integra chassis.

No, I think the Cliff's notes are:

"Scott insults people for no reason."

This place is for discussion but not for argument anyways. Better stops argue like those kids on some ricer forums.

ASSumptions like this is what pisses people off the most. Out of the people posting in this thread, how do you know who is a drag racing "sissy"? And since when is ANY form of motorsport that takes skill for "sissies". I guess if someone likes something you dont they are automatically less of a man, huh?

Bottom line, just because someone has a different opinion than you or choses to do things differently doesnt justify calling them an "idiot" repeatedly. He may know more about chassis tuning on the G3 teg..maybe he doesnt, but the point is that you argue your point using facts and experiences and let the others do the same. Intelligent readers will decide whos information to go with.

Using the ad-hominem approach just further exemplifies how immature some of us supposed "adults" are.

Exactly.

And the response from the moderators in that forum is worse than useless IMHO. Moderators keep their mouths shut while Scott tosses insults left and right, but lock that thread because Wai posts here that it's "interesting".

You don't get it do you? Wai has repeatedly PROVED he's an idiot - I'm merely calling him on it. I don't like you attacking our good moderators either - why don't you knock it off.

Scott, who doesn't waste his time with idiots....beyond calling them idiots....it's just a fact.....

Why was this arguement brought over here? I have never had any problems with Wai and I cannot understand why people who consider themselves knowledgable racercar drivers arn't acting like it...

You don't get it, do you? The forums are not a place to call people names. If you disagree with someone, don't call them an idiot - explain why you think something else is true.

And it's the moderators' job to prevent name-calling on the forums (except that they're not doing their job). Everyone EXCEPT you is here to talk about cars, not to call other people names.

Maybe you should join http://www.forums.name-calling.com It's a much better place for what you're looking for.

For a 72 year old man, you don't show much maturity and diplomacy. If I were to call you an idiot an state that it was a fact, who in this little internet bubble world would have the proof to argue that I was wrong (besides other factual idiots of course).

That's quite possibly a conservative assumption. You have to appreciate that every surface to tire interface is different - for the purpose of such a study one must select useful value. Tin tops easily exceed 1g all the time.

Scott, who used to answer comments like this all the time....until he got tired of doing it in response to the same people over and over....people like Wai....

You are an idiot too.

If someone is resistant to the Pythagorean Theorem and it's proofs after repeated explanation, what do you do?

Ah, it's the specific language that bothers you. Let's try this: Wai doesn't understand, resists explanation, is incapable of making valid argument himself, and persists in offering up opinions and advice that are inverted with respect to goodness.

You are amusing in that you've overlooked those sentences in my post that contained facts. That type of selection on your part indicates a bias that invalidates your objection. Or in my language: You suck.

Scott, who is now tired of name calling....the phenomenon of the ignorant thinking the other guy is ignorant loses it amusing irony quickly....

internet pissing contests are stupid

there is always more than one way to tune a suspension correctly for any given situation , its as simple as that. Its all based on driver comfort level.

Although i have dealt mostly with Circle track cars, the more comfortable (i.e. confident) the driver feels in the racecar durring true race conditions makes for the best overall package. This isnt to say a more unstable setup wouldnt yield faster lap times, but it could potentially upset a consistent racecar.....what actually wins races. Personal taste and real world setup is all that can legitamately get you on this path...

nick, who says honda's suck *** anyway

I guess the person who fails to give a reasonable explanation is YOU. Hence you are the idiot.

Wai didn't setup the Spoon race car to run f24k/r20k. Wai didn't setup the Jun race car to run f20k/r16k. But you ask him to give you chassis analysis on those setup.

If you disagree with the above setup, YOU should be the one who provides legitimate reasons, not keep telling people about your same old believe - it is just like telling people your cat's mouth smells like cat food. (lol I love that!)

And oh, the picture shown above, the units do not add up right.
(ft/s^2)(Lbs)(in)/(in) does not equal (Lbs)
Maybe I missed something?

You are an idiot too.
