putting in new main bearings

Default putting in new main bearings

any one know which way the thrust groove goes faceing the block or the crank.

the thrust bearing should have a face perpendicular to the crankshaft. this face should be machined flat, and also look like a bearing sureface. this face goes in the direction that it is against a matching face on the crankshaft. it SHOULD only go one way.

The grooves face outward, away from the block.
