I have a 1990 Civic. I had a B16 with a S1 trans. Now i am trying to put a GSR with a Y21 trans into it. What I would like to know is can I use the S1 not the GSR half shaft with the Y21? I did notice the oil seal is smaller on the y21 than the s1. I want to use it so I can use the axles I had with my old swap.

im guessin the S1 is a cable type halfshaft, if so just make sure u got axles that are from 90-93 integra..splines on both ends of each axle

 

I guess what I was asking is can I change the oil seal the fit the S1 shaft so I dont have to buy new axles?

 

Figured it out. Thanks to the EF section. I will have to use a 90-93 oil seal.
