Default Tein RA's preload question

So i just installed some Tein RA's for my friend. my question is since he bought it used and it didn't come with instructions what's the correct preload setting for the RA? I know the general rule of thumb is "just until the spring is snug when the car is raised" but i wanted specifics. TIA

The RAs use a helper spring and you will not be able to fully preload the main spring unless you compress the helper spring all the way down.

That's what the helper spring is for.

Hm....i think i might have to drive his car for myself. He says when he makes a right turn, it makes a noise. This i took for being the spring binding, but i'm not sure. His tie rods do have ripped boots, but I'm not sure that's it either.
