check your bulb. it could be blown If thats not the case go back over all wiring/connections and check fuses. Good Luck

I have a 97 (JDM) EK4 SiR and as the needle hits empty it comes up occasionally, but when

there is like 10 or so litres left in the tank it comes on and stays on.

I have a 99 Si and it does the same thing. Oh well, I know when the needle is hitting the E line or starting to dip below it, it's time to fill up if it gets to that point.

It's not good to run your tank nearly dry. It's called an idiot light for a reason.

i own two civics same generation.
my black one the light comes on when i have about 8-10liters left.

My silver one, the light will not come on at all, i have run the tank until there was 2 liters left.

The reason i think for th silver one is that the sensor inside the gas tank was damaged when the car was vandalised, someon poured a sugra water solution in the tank, and it froze solid, and it could have gotten damaged either by my chipping away the ice or by the water itself, i have no idea.

So for you it may actually be the sensor inside the tank. Becuase mine worked fine before the damage was done to the car

I like everything to work on my car whether I use it or not. Then again, mine isn't broken.

Check this link. It has directions on how to possibly figure out the problem.

Make your own thread and explain your issues there.

This guy is saying his fuel meter works, but the low fuel indicator does not.

Nothing is wrong with his tachometer.

there was cases when i almost ended up stranded because there was no gas stations around, and my needle would be sitting on the red line (EX cluster) and it would still drive normal and no light would come on, never figured out why. but who needs that light anyways
