Here is the deal fellas. I have found I am pretty decent at forming stuff with fiberglass and am looking for something new to do with my rex. I am considering forming a funnel/velocity stack that fits into my passenger side headlight hole for when I go to the strip sometime this summer. It would be shaped exactly like the headlight, but smooth inside and funnel shaped.

I plan to make a mold and have it so that I mold nuts into the fiberglass so I can bolt it securely in place. I am thinking I can paint it and clear coat it once sanded smooth and be all good to go, but here is my question...

Is there anything you see wrong or "dangerous" about my plans?

Also, I am running the stock Si motor with probably a small Wet kit whenever i get around to it, so what diamter piping should I make the pipe running to my SRI? 3 inch is what my ebay jobby is but I dont know if that is ideal for me.

Lastly, if I had good, neat looking, quality duplicates of this made, would anyone be interested or not?

i like the idea!! i would say to stay with 3" just because of air volume. interested depending on price...i was thinking the same idea, except below the front passenger turn signal. like something that would feed an aftermarket cold air intake...mine sits right behind that lower bumper. i need my headlights for daily driving

 

i'd say go with an aem or similar size intake. (i believe it's 2.5") just my 2 cents. interested about the results. do it.
