Can someone explain....
what the plastic "throttle-body" looking thing under the stock intake tube/airbox assembly is and what it does? I removed it when I installed my CAI, but noticed it had a sensor attached to it.
This is on I-4 '95 Accord EX.

No body knows what that is? I guess it doesn't do anything too important....I just wondered if removing it could potentially cause problems later.
it sounds like the iat sensor i guess, like i think it checks the amount of air flow goin through, is it like a square shape??????
every car has that on the oem cai, but not all aftermarket cai's have it except for like injen n fujita

yup, a balck plastic box. sits under the stock intake pipe.
huh...i thought that was the air meter's job... it looks "secondary"....like it serves some other purpose, not quite charting metered air into the engine.
