Default H22 idling issues

For some reason i'm having idling issues with my swap. H22 into EK. Obd-I motor. With gas runs like it should but at idle it "purges". Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe a vacuum problem. If so do i need to have all the different check valves and what not?

What do you mean by "purge".. can you describe the issue more clearly?

Here's a common issue with all honda engines:

look at step 8.

this valve works itself loose (unscrews itself) over time. A lot of the time you just need to screw the valve back in, put everything back together and you're good to go. The thread is for a gsr motor but this valve is similar amoung all honda engines that use them.

There are a lot of other threads regarding the "FITV" if you want to search.

Mine did that and it was IACV. Idle surge, eh?

i guess it can be described as a surge. revs high then low, high then low, high then low. Kinda like if you went on and off the gas.

PwRLiMeH22 - how'd you fix it? you just changed the IACV?

Is your EGR hooked up, if not you need to make a block off plate.

no, egr is not hooked up. can anybody gimmea "how to" on a block off plate. for some reason i sound like a damn noob with this crap. also keep in mind that it's only doing this when it's cold. once it heats up it's fine. could it be the coolant temp sensor?
