Default F20B Auto (180HP) vs Manual (200HP)

I've search already but couldn't find any info on the differences of these two engines.
Can anybody tell me the difference of these two engines? The compressions are 11.0:1 for both but where does the 20HP extra come from? CAMS, Tuning?

A friend of mine has bought a automatic by mistake. He has a P28 crome tuned.

Hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks

there is no diffrence between the auto and manual. the ecu of the manual gives the engine 20 extra horses for some reason. just tell you friend to get a maunal f20b ecu and he should be good.

I remember reading that the cams are different between auto and manual, not 100% though.

This is true with most Honda motors

The auto version has a 58mm Tb and from what I've been told the manual has a 62mm but thats just word of mouth. I've measured the auto.

The auto f20b comes with the same cams as a jdm h22, the manual has the same as type s cams. Thats the only differences to my knowledge

The F20B Auto shares the same cam as the one in the F20C FYI.

Wat?

I doubt this greatly. Do you have any evidence of that?

yep the manual TB is 62mm. My brother and i each have manual f20bs and each TB is larger than that of the H22 i used to own. and for my brothers f20b swap (into EG) we went to the local mport shop (the only one i trust) to check out gaskets and we pulled the itr gasket and it was an exact match. And the cams were type s spec (they were measured during my motr build as was the combustion chamber, valves and so forth)

as for the individuals that post fiction without backing, im with heikdiesel and theMuffinMan. Use the search button Its comical when individuals come from way left field with a claim, no backing like 20 horses from an ecu. for those who are posting this there is an F20b faq look it up. it will save you typing time and getting negative responses
