Does anyone have this problem and does anyone know how to fix it???

 

I used to have an LS, with a Skunk2 Intake manifold, AEM CAI. That thing would whistle like no tomarrow, but I think it comes form the CAI. For instance I would shift from first to third, and there would be to much o a load on the engine at low rpm's so it would whistle realy loud. I ave heard other cars have the same problem. The only way I got rid of it was by getting a turbo.

 

got the same prob on the gsr. i also put one on and lsvtec and it whistled as well.
looks like we are stuck with the sound.

you need to port match your TB and the plenum to the IM.

 

does this whistle take place at a certain throttle position,
or does it whistles constantly?

 

the noise is normal.
just more air coming into the filter

 

It usually whistles right when you step on the throttle in every gear I noticed except 1st gear. It only whistles for a second or two then goes away. Doesn't the skunk2 manifold got a 64mm TB opening??

 

This whistle is normal if you have an intake.
Its the throttle plate not the manifold.
It make a whistle at a certain position.
I have a stock manifold and I still get the whistle.
Not bothersome at all though.

 

I happen to love that noise

yea i installed a pro series manifold on my B16a and i love the whistle noise

 

its normal. everyone that installed had the same whistling noise. its something with not having enough trouqe.

are u serious? i have a skunk 2 IM and whistles at about 35 percent throttle. its not annoying or anything

 

I dont hear any sorta whistle sound...i think its because of my exhaust with the silencer off 99% of the time.

 

i ******* hate that whistling noise

 

I have an Edelbrock manifold and have this same problem along with what sounds like a tire blowing out everytime I shift.
