Help! My speedometer stays on 0.

My speedometer does not move when im driving. The miles dont change either. the rpm moves but not the speed, it just started happening....what could it be??? Thanks

check your VSS sensor. vehicle speed sensor.located on the tranny

Simple fix. Just replace your speed sensor located on your tranny. Should be 1 10mm bolt.

Make sure it's the problem first. See if your getting any voltage from it.

What chassis? DA, DC, etc.? Also what year.

check the wiring that plugs into your vss sensor

Het a Helm manual for the car and troubleshoot the VSS. You will need a multimeter capable of capturing signal pulses. Several things could be wrong:
1) the gear for the VSS is damaged
2) The VSS is damaged
3) A wiring issue.
