+++ TW: 2000 Civic SI EM1 with Blown Motor +++
SOLD - Good luck to the buyer on the build!
Heres the story on this car: i brought this car back in december of this past year ('07) and its literally been sitting in my garage ever since. i initially wanted to make this into a project car, but plans have changed.
2000 Civic SI
Milano Red
147,000 Miles on the body
NO RUST
The Good:
the body on this car is nice. there is no rust, but there are dings here and there on the body panels. the car is basically a complete car minus some body panels and of course... the blown motor.
the transmission shifts very smooth without any grinds from when i drove it home. but please keep in mind that i didnt take the car past 3K RPM due to the blown motor. the car comes with an AEM cold air intake, DC Sports 4-1 header, Apex'i N1 catback, AEM Fuel regulator, DC Sports lower rear tie bar, Apex'i coilovers (the old owner told me so), and i believe the car has on 17'' ADR rims with about 85% thread left on all 4 tires. on the inside you also get a air/fuel ratio (narrowband
) and a volt meter (the monster tach seen in the pictures is not included).
The Bad:
As stated before, the motor is blown. its a stock B16. i think the previous owner neglected to maintain the car. i know for a fact that the car has never been turbo'd or sprayed nitrous. just pure neglect from the previous owner. i was told that the A/C compressor on the car doesnt work, and will need to be replaced and recharged if you want A/C. there is also a small electrical issue with the car. everytime you try to use the power locks, the underhood fuse for the power locks/windows blows out. obviously there is a short somewhere, but i havent tried looking for it. i just dont use the power locks, so i am still able to use the power windows.
The Ugly:
The car is missing one side skirt on one side, and on the other side, there is an aftermarket sideskirt from a bodykit. the rear bumper is also from an aftermarket bodykit that the previous owner had on. the aftermarket parts dont look horrible, they are pretty subtle. also, the previous owner broke the interior rear view mirror. i'm sure it can be replaced without a problem, but i never tried. the old owner also installed one of those "euro" covers on the gauge cluster. some like it, but i absolutely hate it, but it still uses the stock si cluster. the carbon fiber hood thats on the car is pretty much trashed. the clearcoat is gone and theres a lot of scratches on it. the hood pins are also falling apart.
The car CAN be driven, but it sounds like a WRX and you must keep your foot on the gas or else the car will die on you. Pick up of the car is entirely on the buyer.
PM me if you're interested and your offer. please understand that if i do not get a price i like, i'll just keep the car for myself.
onto the pics!!!

ok, since a lot of people are asking how much i want for the car, i'll just put up a price which I think is reasonable. i'd like to get $3,500 for the car.
i figured a stock si would sell for around $7,000
if i factored in the blown motor (-$2,000) and the miscellanous things that are wrong with the car (-$1,000), you'd get to $4,000.
people are selling total pieces of crap for way more money here. granted, the motor is blown, but its a complete car otherwise.
I know someone wants this car as a collector. turn it back to all of its OEM goodness and make it look good!

thats a good question.
THE BLOWN MOTOR WILL COME WITH THE CAR, EVERYTHING YOU SEE IN THE PICS ARE INCLUDED MINUS THE 5'' MONSTER TACH.
i understand that some people will bash on my price, but i'm just sick of people on this board thinking that cars are free and can rip people off by ridiclous lowball offers.

i honestly dont have the time to part out the car. although, i could probably make more money doing it that way... the thought has crossed my mind.

well, the previous owner took it over to Factory 5 (now Profunction
). they did run some tests on the car without breaking it down, and it was determined that the car would need at least a shortblock.
i dont know, i just took the previous owner's word for it. if it was only a distributor problem or something, i'd be pretty pissed.
