Default over heating

i know this topic had been covered many many times but i cant find a thread that has the same problem that im haveing. just got my whole motor rebuilt in my 97 gsr new hg, water pump, oil pump everything it has 3k on the new motor. i had the hose that goes from the head to the box on my fire wall get a hole in it. so i replaced it and ever since then its been over heating. bleed the system till i couldnt leave the cap off the rediator any more cuz the water was boiling out. then i go drive it and its still over heating top radiator hose is hot and has pressure in it. the lower hose is cold and no pressure. ive tried bleeding the system several times and still nothing so i replaced the thermostat and it still over heats. is this just air still in the system or is the hg blown or am i just over looking somthing simple. any info would be great sry for the long post just wanted to give you guys as much info as possible

You need to have the temperature control on hot and leave the radiator cap on. Open the bleeder on the upper water neck and burp the system. Do you have the little tab on the thermostat in the proper direction? It just sounds like an air pocket, nothing more.

If your head gasket was blown, you'd have other symptoms, like oil in the coolant, or white smoke.
