Antenna Replacement on 95 civic
Hey everyone, I just bought my first civic a couple weeks ago so I thought it would be a good thing to join these forums. I'm trying to to fix all the little things that the car needs. One thing is the antenna. For some unknown reason the antenna was cut, along with the motorola plug. I have cd's and all, but there are times where listening to the radio is better. I bought a new antenna mast/cable and tried to install it by slightly removing the old one out, cutting it, tapping it to the new one, and feeding it through the dash. Big problem, as I was doing that, the old cable just split into two rendering that little procedure useless.
I've been trying to locate the hole the antenna goes through by the a-pillar near the underside of the dash, but for the life of me, I cannot. I've searched the forums plenty, and all I find is how to do the simple installation. I haven't found anything on what to do if you screw up and your cable splits into two.
I've looked into the aftermarket antennas for the windshield, but the stock antenna just "seemed" less of a hassle.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am stuck and still fairly new to the honda. Thanks in advanced.
