Default oil problem!!!!!!

okay, my teg still under construction and mostly sits due to not having enough money to get it back on the road after ls/vtec build and needing other parts ... blah blah blah.... ANYWAYS, so i drive a 2000 eclipse for the time being, i recently changed my oil and oil filter 2 weeks ago, and added 4 1/4 quarts of oil, and drove around and saw my oil light came on only when the car was @ low rpms, so i added some more oil , roughly enough to equal out to 5 quarts. then i went online to research the problem b/c the light was still on and noticed people usually only add about 4- 4 1/4 quarts of oil, so i drained a full quart back out of the car and now my oil reading on the dipstick is perfect!, the car is running fine but the oil light still comes on at low rpms, when the car is warmed up. i use 5w30 (which is what it calls for). when the car is drivin the light goes away but when i throw the car in neutral or drop the cars rpms below 2k then the oil light comes on, but goes away once i rise above the 2k rpm mark.
-any help?

Maybe a bad oil pump. Good luck!

You might have a major serious problem. I would not recommend driving the car until you can verify your oil pressure.

Get an oil pressure guage to verify you are at the right levels.
