noob boost question.....
well as the title states, this is a nooblet question (i know, i know, its almost as bad as "HEY! what swapz are available for my civic bruh????)
well as some of you may know, my baby was an automatic EJ8 that got a 5-speed b16a3 transplant....she has definately come a long way. Tomorrow, she will be going even further down the progress road....since im going to be slapping a turbo on her.
i've actually got a couple of questions now that im going boost.
first off,
I'm planning on running 7psi without it "tuned" for a couple of days until the chip from phearable.net (basemapped for 440cc injectors) come in....I have the 440cc injectors, so when i put the turbo on, should i also slap on the 440cc injectors and run it until the chip comes in? or should i just leave the stock injectors since maybe slapping 440cc injectors untuned may be really bad for the engine.
Also, should I get an actual dyno tune a little ways down the road? i mean, i trust phearable.net's products but is it still safe without an "actual tune" at the dyno?
thanks a lot guys, and wish me luck

a tune is the most important thing when turbo... i woldnt run a base map, it isnt tuned for ur application. if ur gonna drive it arond before the map comes in u better put in the 440s. its better to run rich then lean. i woldnt try driving the car thoght withot a tune
whattttttt... can't even believe u had to ask dude... but ur forgiven since noob was stated lol.. TUNING IS KEY <~~~ write that down an keep a copy of it in ur wallet... This is how ur turbo build should go..
1. Install turbo an all remaining accessories "oil lines ect"
2. Check for leaks an loose connections
3. Install injectors an resistors or resistor box "if running low impedence like DSM"
4. Chip ecu, place eeprom chip into slide socket
5. I used wideband while tuning so this was my next step to install wideband sensor
6. Put ecu in, turn on all tuning software an get ready for TUNE...!!
Anytime you install anything that alters ur air and/or fuel TUNE...!!! I cant stress this enough dude, tuning is the main thing to be concerned with once ur boostin bro.. Crome Pro is what im using an that **** is pretty sick, others argue for Hondata an all that but im not a lil rich kid with $800 bucks to go blow when I could use Crome for free lol... Anyways good luck, an TUNE that **** bro, dont even drive it til u tune it even tho it wouldnt hurt i wouldnt risk anything fawkin up... GL

well good news!
i have decided to wait until my chip comes in and do it right without taking a *bigger risk* of running it completely stock and blowing the motor.
ill keep you guys informed
wish me luck!
