5th Gen Rotor Change: Do I need a press?
there is a good writeup on here that will show you exactly how to do it. it might be stickied in the faq, if not try a search, but its a good one.
I actually like this write up. IMO, this is the right way of changing the front rotors on the 5th gen. Removing the whole knuckle. Makes things a lot easier. The press is just there because as you see, the surface of where the wheel bearing and the steering knuckle meet is rusted. It's basicly almost like welded. If you live in like snowy area or something, you might need the press.
I live in california, mine was sorta rusted. Well not really. All I need is a cylinder the size of the wheel bearing and a GOOD SIDE hammer. Good stuff.
Well GOOD LUCK!

I would recommend just replacing everything and doing a ROH conversion. It's well worth it. Since I replaced everything anyhow, I just took the entire knuckle off and hammered the $#it out of it till it broke loose. I had the new bearing and hub assembly pressed together already and just bolted it on. Looks great, and will be less work for future brake jobs. Just my $.02.
