Default M2B4 Axle Length ?

I have an M2B4 trans in the garage i have been planning on installing this spring once the weather gets a little bit nicer. My car is 93 BB2 H23VTEC M2S4

I've read the M2B4 trans is about an inch wider, thus a shorter axle should be used on the passenger side.

I have been reading archived threads for almost two hours, and it seems the only people having problems with binding are people with their M2B4's in either civics, or lower than stock preludes.

Anyone with M2B4 on stock ride height have experience or advise?

Nope. Use just regular axles. It has exactly the same dimensions as any F/H tranny.

This is a thread with a civic hatch that had a H22 droped in it.

The M2B4 tranny axels are diffrent in size than the rest. i dont have one but there shouldnt be a problem if the car is loweredor not.

Rememeber that The M2B4 is meant for a Prelude.

That is all I have to add.

yes i know it's a civic, i read the whole thing.
Yes i know the passenger axle is slightly shorter.
That is not the only thread i have read about the problem, i have probably read 20 threads with people that are running the M2B4 in both civics and preludes

and binding IS more of a problem on lowered cars because of the increased angle at at the joint.

I just want to be SURE, FROM SOMEONE WITH PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, if they have run into problems with the slightly longer axles

FWIW, I have a M2B4 with my H22a swap and I bought new oem type replacement axles (Cardone) from http://www.partsamerica.com/Pr...Set=A . p/n: 664113 and 664127. They are the same for H22 and H23. I compared the length to stock prior to the installation and they looked the same. My 4th gen is lowered with Eibach pro kit and I haven't noticed any problems at all.

when it's saying part # 664113 is for the left, does that mean passenger? (like looking at the car) or does it mean driver (inside the car). part # 664127 is the right.
