Car won't start after timing belt
To make a long story shory, I loaned my car to a buddy of mine. My car "broke down" because the crank pulley broke. I replaced the pulley, only to start the car and it ran like crap. Come to find out, the timing belt needed to be replaced (it was missing a few teeth), so I took care of that.
I've had to replace the oil pump on my car, so I've had to take the timing belt off and re-do the timing myself and it was fine. In any event, my car will now turn over, but will not start.
I can hear the fuel pump prime, as well as a fuel smell in the engine bay, but my car won't start. I am assuming either the spark plugs, wires or distributor, but any help would be appreciated.

If the mechanical timing happens to be fine, check whether you have spark at each plug and, if so, whether you have low compression in any cylinders.
All right. My dad and I double checked the timing as well as spark at each plug and still no start. The plugs all had fuel on them as well, so I know that there is fuel, spark, and that the timing is correct.
I will check the compression next, and any other suggestions will be welcome in the meantime. TIA
