Default Type R Clutch Replacement Question

What's up Honda-Tech? I just had a quick question, and I'm hoping one of you Type R experts can help me out since I'm kinda new to the type-r side of Acura, haha.

I currently have a 98 Spec JDM Type R tranny in my car, and the clutch I'm using is an Exedy Stage 2 Racing Clutch along with the Exedy Flywheel. I'm going back to a stock Type R clutch, but I was hoping to keep the same flywheel. Since the OEM type r flywheel weighs around 15 lbs, and the Exedy flywheel weighs around 9.5 lbs, I was wondering if I would run into any problems running a stock clutch with an aftermarket flywheel, especially one as light as this one?

Let me apologize in advance if this is a noob question, but I'm hoping replace the clutch sometime next week, and I wanna touch on all bases first. Also, if you guys feel like you need to tell me something I might be missing, please don't hesitate to let me know, it'll be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Cool, thanks.

Seeing as how I'm going back to the stock-like feel, is there any other clutch out there that offers the same feel, but perhaps better quality or durability?

when he says a little stiffer than stock, he means very little. i'm on the exedy stage 1 and 9.5lb f/w for a few years now and i can honestly say i can hardly feel the difference. grabs nicely too even with a little boost

So from what i'm gathering, you guys would rather just go Exedy stage 1 instead of stock OEM Type-R? I'm just tired of the race clutch feel, I want something easy to drive again, hence the stock Type-R clutch. I dunno.....

I think the stage 1 from Exedy is an awesome clutch. Very little difference in pedal feel and great drivability to boot.

I like it too, held up to my 23" slicks just fine. Too many people use overkill clutches that are annoying to drive around town

Tell me about it. After 2 hours of gridlock on the 405 during rush hour on a stage 2 clutch, I was ready to dismantle my car when i got home. Nothing like driving for 2 hours to go 15 miles.
