My car is a 95 cx hatch with a b18a and ls trans. One day the speedo just started to go nuts and would twitch. Sitting at idle it would jump all around, the car wouldnt move and it would twitch all over the place, up to 80mph, down to 40mph, take a rest a 0mph then twitch all over again. It does this while driving as well, and sometimes will just crap out and sit at 0mph.
I changed the speed sensor with a known good one, and that had no effect.

Any ideas?

 

Loosen the screws behind the speedometer and retighten. See if that works any.
