New Dyno Vid * EXPLODE* jareds ITR
heres a short teaser clip from last nights dynop session ,
we are tuning my Spray , and blew up the car ( short version of this story )
we havent opened up theh motor yet so its Iffy , but prob ( hopefully a headgasket )
this vid isnt when we blew up , just was the first spray we gave to her , and she coughed a little bit ,
it looks like a turbo dump tube , not an intake
comments always welcome

Remember folks, nitrous backfire is a bad thing. It blows engines.

its not a dumb setup for spray tho ,
i wouldnt spray a motor that wasntt built for it , my motor is fully built , with nitrous in mind when we built it .
it is costly as well , and i only spray using C-16, so it is really expensive , the nitrous is for when i go to the 1/4 mile track , and i only use C-16 at the track . so it dosent get sprayed ALL the time as one may think .
if i cracked any pistons im most likley going to drop my compression ratio from 11.7:1 ( with a VERY decked block , comp is prob around 12:1 )
down to 9.5:1 , and toss a snail on it , that is a possibility as well .
I need to see whats going on inside my motor before i mske ANY descisions at all .

My travels with spray I always thought you had to get the rpms up before you mesh the pedal. To me sounded like the guy in the car was at 1000-2000 rpm when he squeezed or is it on the throttle?......Yikes that's a recipe for a blown motor.
I never hit full throttle/button unless i was above at least 4000 rpm.

NO WAY it was higher than that !!
it was around 3500-4000 rpm , and yes ur right u should have RPM up somewhat
i have a headertech 3 inch header with a 3inch flex pipe to a thermal 3 inch exhaust , and there is a few small minor leaks in the whole system , its relly loud , it sounded low to me as well so i looked on a few runs , all were around 3500 and up

did you see the 20 LB one ? its huge , it would HVE to go sideways in the trunk , or the whole backseat
