need and opinions for ecu help.. for my 99 b16 swapped civic ex
alrite.. i have a 99 civic ex.. with a b16a4 from either euro, canadian, or asia... and right now im running a 99-00 us spec civic si ecu (p2t)... for some reason my redline is limited to 6500 rpm... i tried using my 99 ex (p2p) and it redline limited at 5000rpm...
when i bought the motor, the dude from the shop randomly gave me a ecu that they had left over, and it was a probably 96-98 ek4 because it is a p2t ecu.. he said that wasnt the ecu that came with the motor but here it is anyways, i decided to run a 99 civic si ecu instead .... i need help..
why am i redlining at 6500 when 99 si are redline at 8300.... ?
is it because im running a obd2a motor with a obd2b ecu?
what are my options?
should i run the ek4 ecu w/ a jumper?
or should i just run a p28 w/ a jumper?
does the p28 need to be chipped inorder to run properly with my b16?..
thanks in advance..

you def need to chip the ecu that will do wonders for your red line limit though i wouldnt push it too high and hold the redline i wouldnt go over seven eight if the red line is eight three
