i have a y7 in my ek right now and i have a vtec y8 head about to do mini me. i was wondering;

how expensive is it to build the head?
what are all the components?
and difficulty

i do not know alot about internals and want to get some suggestions

How extensive are you planning to build? There's a ton of stuff you can do to a head. You have valves, springs, retainers, seals, guides, cam, and port work. I wouldn't attempt this yourself since it doesn't sound like you are very knowledgeable in this matter. Take it to a professional.

 

well i know friends that could do it no problem with me but i was wondering how expensive it was and if its a long process because i know you have to get everything torqued good and get the timing right after your done.

 

it really depends on what all you want done that we can give you a cost on how much its gonna cost

 

i want the head totally rebuilt.

 

stock rebuild or aftermarket parts? what are you looking at for a cam? valvetrain? portwork? milling? valve job?
