I'm thinking about upgrading my VX to include power windows and door locks. Tried searching but couldn't find the answer I was looking for.

1) is there a DIY that someone did?

2) other than the two complete doors from a donor vehicle, what else would i need to get? pics of the parts?

check the FAQ at the top of the civic/del sol section. There are alot of good threads listed. Including threads on this very topic. Also you can utilize the search which tends to work really well.

 

complete doors would make the job easier since you wont have to run anything, but all you really need is the power window motor, power lock motors.

i bought all my stuff from someone off here that was parting out their car and i was lucky enough that he sent me his whole wiring harness with it which made the job very easy since all i did was find all the wires that belonged to the windows, locks, and mirrors and cut them away from his harness and ran them into my car and pluged everything up, if you got time i would recommend going to a junk yard and trying to find the harness off an eg that has these components that would probably be the easiest way.
