PLEASE HELP... IGNITION? FUEL? INTAKE? I DON'T KNOW!
Alright... i have a 1993 honda prelude si w/ 207,000. first gear is fine, but 2, 3, 4, and 5th if the pedal is only a little bit down for normal around town driving the engine putts. it's like someone is cutting fuel and activating it several times in a row. now if i increase throttle on her, it's smooth... what's the prob? thanks!
1. So you think ignition is the source of the problem? That's what I was thinking. I was also thinking of running some injector cleaner through the gas.
2. No the check engine light is not on.

it sounds a lot like the o2 sensor is going out.. Mine ran crappy at narrow throttle, and ran fine at wide throttle. A few days later, it did eventually throw a check engine light, and changing the oxygen sensor fixed it.
on the '93 the single O2 sensor is on the exhaust pipe under the oil filter. You should usually throw a code 43 if that is bad, though.

I appreciate it. I'll go ahead and replace it anyway; with 207,000 I'm sure if it hasn't been changed yet it'd be a good idea. Thanks to all... any other feedback or possibilities is VERY welcome. Thanks again.

on my car, it started running crappy at partial throttle about 2 weeks before i got code 43 (fuel supply system) about another 2 weeks went by and then i got code 41 (o2)

a faulty o2 sensor will fool the ecu into thinking there is a fuel supply problem, thus a new o2 cleared both codes 43 and 41
I replaced the ignition wires and the the spark plugs... it's still doing it. Any other suggestions? I'd like to sell my other car, but i can't with this one screwing up.
