AVS-i or Azenis for daily driving?
To thoes who have been at it a while, which tire would you choose for daily driving (mostly dry plus occasional T-storm)?
1. AVS intermediate
2. Azenis
-Sean
p.s. I know they are discontinued... but not in the size that I want.

S03's. I've been on them for about 4k miles now and they are rock solid and kick *** in the rain.
Craig - Who would be dead if he was on the Azenis with this damn SoFL rain.

I just went from the AVSi to the S03.
I couldn't get my hands on the AVSis anymore, and I'll tell you what; I'm glad I couldn't.
Don't get me wrong. I loved the AVSis. I used them for over three years (2 sets) and swore by them. They had truly impressive grip for a street tire, they were reasonably quiet on the highway, they performed well in the wet, they were predictable at the limit. All in all, a really good tire.
Then I got the S03s. First thing I noticed was how much quieter they were. Second thing I noticed was that the dry grip was just as good as the AVSi, even though I went from a 205 to a 195. Steering effort was just a touch lighter, and turn-in became a bit better defined. Then I drove 200 miles in the rain, on the Interstate. Let me tell you, the S03s are like devil's magic in the wet. Freakin' unbelievable! I don't see myself buying anything else now.
If you can get the AVSis, go for it. They are a really nice tire. But seriously, they aren't even in the same league as the S03, especially in the rain. I strongly suggest you look into the S03.

I couldn't say it much better. Used to swear by the AVS-I's as well for street and autocross. After not being able to find AVS's anymore I took the plunge and bought S-03's (they were over double what the AVS's used to cost) The price on the S-03's have come down a little. In addition the the great handling of the S-03's, they seem to handle abuse very well. The sides of my AVS's would look like hell after an autocross or two, but the S-03's hardly show any wear.
