Apexi WS2 Question?
I am in buying a apexi ws2 for my coupe 96 civic for dirt cheap. I have some question such as was there a world sport 1 and if there is what is the difference between 1 and 2. When I buy it I will be installing the lca and sway bar will the muffler clear those two items. How do you also know if the muffler is the real apexi product is it suppose to have a stamp on it?
This is the picture of the thing.

What you have pictured is the WS2 system. I own the original WS system ("WS1") and helped a friend install a WS2 system on his Teg. The differences are subtle, the tip is a different shape (this is where the stamp will be, you can kinda see it in your pic) and IMO the sound is a little bit different. Other than that, as far as I can tell, everything else is the same: piping color (purple) and thickness, flanges and fitment.
It will clear your LCA and sway bar. WS2

Okay... here goes nothing.
The Apexi WS1: The original World Sport design released by apex'i, this includes a full cat back system for a variety of cars. The piping is in fact a purplish color, including a resonator. The muffler itself is stainless steel, with a round outlet. Here is a picture taken directly from the Apexi website.

The Apexi WS2: The newly released muffler from Apexi. This is a universal muffler (does not come with pre-made hangers). It is stainless steal, and features an oval outlet with a rolled tip (it's thicker). This muffler is available in N/A or turbo, and can also be order with a left or right offset for the outlet. Here is a picture. (I own this muffler, and have it on my EK si, LMK if you want pics of it installed)

Pictured with hangers that it does not come with, why? I don't know.
So basically, what you are buying there is a WS1 cat back system... Since the WS2 was in fact not a cat back system. It's a great system none the less, I'm not sure if the WS1 and 2 sound different at all.. I'm sure they are not that different. Good luck.
edit- I also forgot to mention that I have a WS1 muffler from a DC cat back in my garage, so let me know if anyone needs a side by side or something of that nature.
