My right wheel bearing was finally starting to give out after making the lovely growling sound for a couple months and I noticed that it had started to get loose. I figured I'd replace it since I won't be doing my 5 lug swap for a while yet. I was told that my car had a 94 front with a 97 rear, so I figured the suspension was also from a 97. So I order a wheel bearing/hub assembly for a 97 and when I go to put it on it doesn't fit. The 97 assembly is about 2 inches longer than the 94. I could barely even get the nut to fit onto the spindle without the thrust washer. Wierd thing is that I thought 94-97 was all the same suspension pieces, but apparently I was wrong. Today I'm going to go get a new assembly for a 94 and try it again tonight. I also realized why the ABS light always came on too - the sensor wasn't plugged in on the rear axle. Not that it was a big deal because I hate ABS, but it's nice to figure some things out.
At least now I know that everything but the rear section of the body is 97 on the car and everything else is 94.

I figured out what the problem was today. I had the right box, but the wrong wheel bearing/hub assembly in it. I took it to a different store to compare it with the one they had in stock and found out that the one I bought wasn't the right piece. I got the correct one and will be putting it on tonight.
