Default ABS light on dash

ABS light on dash won't go out. Brakes work fine still. Any ideas on what the problem could be? fluid is full, and all fuses are ok. I'm suspecting a bad sensor, but where and what should i be looking for. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hear any buzzing noises from under the driver's side of the hood when starting the car or intermittently during use?

no strange noises near the abs stuff under the hood. i hope there's nothing wrong w/ it. too much $$$$. i did a search and found some references to checking the wheel sensors. i'll look into that before i break down and bring it into the dealer. thanks.

What code is stored in the ABS control unit?

exactly, your ABS light will tell you a code just like the CEL light will, the plug to jump the ABS is right next to the one for the CEL

sounds like a bad sensor though

My ABS light has come on as well, but I've been too lazy to jump the service connector since I've been having too much fun with no ABS. However, ABS is nice to have in adverse driving conditions...

for the novice driver yes, but for me it makes the car more predictable and controllable, and I am not by any means a novice driver

No offense taken... but when you're on ice, and the rear of the car slides out during braking (remember roads don't have the same surface as a track), you're SOL...

remember that the threshold for ABS is a lot less than that of no ABS, especially on ice

I can predict when the brakes are going to lock up without ABS better than I can guess when ABS is going to kick in

Jump the SCS connector and count the flashes. It will flash a main code shortly followed by a sub code. (Example: 4-2)

Did you just bleed the main brake system or the ABS system?

I should bleed my ABS system, that's likely the cause of my problem (thus setting off my ABS light).
