92 Honda Accord Transmission
Hey Guys, I have a 92 Honda Accord and it has about 105,000. Everytime I drive it the transmission doesnt seem to shift right. I mean it jerks the car when it shifts gears. Have any of you guys seen this problem. Or what could be the problem, so that I can fix it
Sorry, im a complete newbie, my 93 honda accord does that exact same thing and i have no idea how to flush the tranny. How would i go about doing that?

Try replacing the fluid with some new Honda transmission fluid- if it doesn't help it's time for a new tranny or a rebuild. The jerkiness is mostly caused by excessive clutch pack clearance (wear). Be sure your transmission's throttle cable isn't too tight also.

take it to a Jiffy Lube and they will hook a Wyns tranny machine inline to the tranny cooler lines and your tranny will pump out the old fluid while sucking in new fluid

you never get all the fluid that way only about 5 or so quarts out of the 18-21 that are in there...if you use a tranny machine you get 100% exchange

It is a Honda specific dexron II- trust me on this- you want the Honda brand fluid. Regular dexron II will work but will not shift as smoothly as Honda's fluid and can shorten the life of the clutch packs.
