Default Non Honda Warning: TT Viper with dual 'chutes

This is a customers '02 GTS. It has a 510cid stroker with twin 76mm turbos. Makes 1400rwhp average on 24psi.

We just finished installing a face platted transmission, and fabricating a chassis anchor and brackets for dual parachutes. He is planning on attending the Texas Mile this month and hoping to break some records and hit 240+ MPH.

He does drive this locally on the street so everything was made to be removable and using stock mounting points. The bumper was notched for the anchor and is the only thing that is not removable. With the license plate back on the car it covers up the holes for the cables also.

Since he has drag brakes with no e-brake provisions, the e-brake handle was made to work as the cable release for the chutes!

There really isn't much to see. The turbos are stuffed under the foot wells.

Here are some pictures of another customers '04 SRT Twin Turbo car. It was making 1000rwhp on pump gas last night

Tape it off with masking tape and use an abrasive cut off wheel.

The GTS has been 8.70's with a lot more in it.
The SRT has been 10.5's with 20" P Zero street tires and is looking into a smaller brake package to run a 15" wheel/tire.

Both cars are capable of low 8's...

Nice clean work! Was it a pre-built engine or did you do it?

There's a lot of room under the stock headers and into the sill where the exhaust goes. Not great for internet forums or showing off your turbos but it works ok without having to do lots of fab work.

why not run a slightly smaller wheel instead of 15"? instead of removing awesome brakes just to take a road racing car drag racing...

john, 18" wheel is the smallest wheel you can run which doesn't do any good with 1300 rwhp...

jerking the e-brake handle at 200+ MPH has got to feel weird!
