Default Help! timing belt crisis on 92 accord

So I just brought my 92 accord (171k miles on it) in to get a new timing belt because it was due and a couple of weeks later i start my car up and hear this terrible snapping/flapping noise, bring it back in only to hear that the brand new belt is broken...they swear no damage was done, but i don't trust them and don't know what to do... here's what's been going on:

after i got the belts replaced and my car "fixed" i immediately noticed that the car drove differently, there is currently no power, no pick up when i initially accelerate (it's an automatic) or have to accelerate after i'm already going about 35 mph, i will literally have the pedal to the floor and then all of a sudden it screams between 4-5 rpms and then shifts...i'm afraid the belt will break again, and i'm not convinced that the timing is adjusted right and i would rather not go to another shop and start over- i want these guys to fix it correctly, but i feel like they might need some advice...

thanks
