Default 97 DX Hatch - Stock brakes safe for HDPE?

as the S2000 is up for sale, I was thinking I'd take the Civic for some spirited driving.

Will the stock brakes (front disk/rear drums) with fresh fluid and decent pads (HP+ or something good) be safe for a bit of track work? I'm sure I'll upgrade them at some point, but for just basic seat time, I'm trying not to change them.

Car's stock atm, but as 1 steelie is bent and 2 tires have slow leaks (poor thing. LOL.) it's going to get 15's (maybe K1's?) and 205 azenis. also, I'm fairly sure it's got a few blown shocks (130k miles) but it's been to cold to get under there. if I don't stay OEM, it will be some PIC product once it warms up a bit.

I'm be grateful for an advice you've got.

ive ran cx brakes for the last 3 yrs,but i had no issues with them, mainly used decent pads(hps),kept up on the up keep and fluid. but i was ready for a slight upgrade. so i just went up to a gsr caliper and rotor.

i have a set of BNIB hawk hps i wont be using since i went up in size. pm me if interested.
