Default post up your pulse settings

i've been using pulse a lot more lately and its making my life a lot easyer. just wondering if anyone else is too?

on manifolds (sch10)
peak: 110
background: 15
% on : 40
pps: 0.7
gas: 20 cfh
rod: 1/16 on crevis, .045 on flat.

what machine are you using? on my dynasty 200dx i cant use the pulse function past 90 peak amps.

lincoln invertec 205

thats nuts, i can pulse up to 200 amps if i want (150 if i'm using 110v).

I have a miller, I don't think its setup the same. I only have the option for pps per minute I believe... I don't really mess with it to much though.

I mostly use pulse on 19 and 20g mild steel butt welds for body work...probably 28-33peak, 10 background and 2.3pps I think. 17 cfh, 035" Er70-s2

i have the same, i just couldn't remember pps. frequency sounded alright, but fixed now.

it was built July 07, not sure what i was thinking but i mistaked(spelling?) peak t and peak A .... i got 200 peak amps

I am way too newb for the pulse, haha

although i have been tryin it on some aluminum beads, and it does seem to work well. tryn to jot some settings down for future posting

mike on the miller i believe its not amperage that it uses but percentage of the overall amperage so if you set up @ 100 amp and we go to 90 that means the peak will only 90%=90amps and 15 would be 15%=15amps

ive been welding alot of aluminum lately with my syncrowave 200. i weld it normally but since i havent seemed to perfect my abilities i use the pulser to "clean" them up.

i've been pulsing by foot and the machine and either way it looks better then not pulsing at all. you can run a lot more amperage as well as get more penitration without burning the material.

aluminum pulse seems to work the best. stainless is a little tricky to get everything setup right.

ive had a pulser sitting in my tool box for like 2 years that ive never installed. i'd like to try it out one day haha


pulsers seem to be like AEM. people either love it or hate it
