code 19 man down
1991 honda civic hatch dx 1.5 non vtech manual trans, my car is stick shift and my car wont start i bought it that way the ecu is giving me code 19 thats 19 blinks in a row every where i look on the web they say lock-up control solenoid valve (Torque Converter Clutch ) for automatic transaxle but my car is not automatic and it wont start
Yeah, you definitely need to sort out a possible ECU mismatch problem. In the meantime, you also might want to test whether the "no start" issue is associated with a fuel or spark problem:
1) Do you hear the fuel pump activate (hum) for a few seconds after you turn the ignition key to ON?
2) Do you detect spark at each plug when the engine is cranking?

Code 19 is for the auto tranny, but I don't know why it won't start. Some deuche sold me an auto P30 ecu and failed to tell me it was for an auto. My car still starts and runs, it just throws the code 19. So maybe it could be something else. Just trying to help. I also have a manual PM5 if you want to buy it.
the fuel pump is on but i dont get spark this is the third ecu i tryed first two didnt work i changed the dizzy cap rotor wires plugs battery checked grounds power at the dizzy checked main relay checked fuses check all conections and all but still no spark i even checked and cleaned the ground on the thermostat housing all i get is a stedy check engine light and a code 19 please help iv been [freak]ing with this car for about two weeks and it really getting to me now

i bought a new distributor already and checked the ignition coil the ignition module and the pick up all tested good like i thought they would the timing belt is fine i hade it timed to
If you have power to the dizzy connector and new plug wires and plugs yet no spark, then the problem must be somewhere in the dizzy.

So..you're not getting any spark whatsoever? A new distributor should include the ignitor and coil which I have seen both fail many times. Is it the correct distributor?
Try a different ECU?

mess with your timing.
kind of a no brainer but i did the same thing.
the dizzy should rotate about 10 or 15 degrees. my car wouldnt start when the timing was off
just mess around with it
