feeler gauges, whats what???
You actually got the right sized ones.
Intake:
.15mm to .19mm OR .006" to .007"
Exhaust:
.17mm to .21mm OR .007" to .008"
You're better off getting an array of feeler gauges.
The Craftsman one I've got has the following sizes that I use:
.152mm
.178mm
.203mm
.223mm
.258mm
To double-check your tolerances after setting the clearance and tightening the locknut, try to slide the next larger sized feeler in b/w the cam and the rocker arm.
ie: I use .152mm for the intake and double-check with the .178mm feeler to make sure I'm in b/w those two values. I also check with the .203mm gauge sometimes just to see how loose it is if the .178mm is still very loose.

Don't need any math...just match the numbers and unit of measurement.
Find out whether you're reading that .17 in inches or mm's. If it's in mm, then it's ok. Inches is too big.
