after market valve spring and retainers

is there any way to change the valve springs and retainers without taking the head from the block??

its a vtec head...

Yes. There was a seller on Ebay that had a tool. (Jarrod?) I think Snap-On made a tool, but I think it was not for the B-series VTEC heads.
