98 Civic DX hatch. The heater makes this weird noise on every setting from 1-4. Comes from under the passenger side dash. It'll be quiet (normal) sometimes, but once I hit a bump or theres any vibration from anything the noise starts. It gets REALLY annoying quick...and its definitely not a good look when there are other people riding.
Is it the fan? Blower assembly?

 

take out ur blower motor and clean it out...sometimes leaves and stuff fall in there and when u turn on the fan motor it makes noises

nope. doubt the previous owner did either.

i'll look into that. is there anything that shows how to get the motor/blower assembly out?

 

its just 3 8mm self taping screws and a plug for the wiring, put your head under there and take a look

 

Does it smell sometimes?

nope.

everything works fine. just makes a noise that is loud to the point id rather be cold.
