My room mate i think may have been drinking the bong water. He has a 2000 model S2k. He has bet me that He can install the comptech supercharger, new pistons, cams, valves, and valve springs in his car in 8 hours. (Him and a friend doing all the labor) I said I'd be willing to put 50 dollars on it, and he told me that why not up the stakes??? He would put $8,000 on it. I told him that I didnt want to take his money, but now Im thinking about taking him up on the bet because I would really like to buy a new Gixxer
Can someone give me some insight on this, because I really dont think its possible. Im fairly knowledgeable about honda's and im pretty ******* sure that it cant even be done in a day. I would say maybe 2 days working around the clock...

3hrs minimum for the SC install with a full shop and competent technitians. To swap pistons etc. he'd have to yank the motor. NO WAY if he is going to do it right. Since the "pistons", cams, valves, etc are internal how would you verify?
Any how, there are only two sets of cams available for the car and they are not for boosted applications. The pistons would have to be custom made, and NO ONE has built better than stock valves. Since he'd would have to be lowering the compression, there is ZERO reason to replace the valve springs. The Comptech SC can boost a maximum of ~11psi and your friend didn't list a Intercooler. He'd blow the engine running anything past 6psi (he needs a custom pulley too). Lowering the compression would lose power anyway.
This sounds like a pile of BS. From what you've posted, nothing makes sense.
Oh yeah, Comptech isn't shipping SC's this month so where did he get the Supercharger?

dont know how long it would take with 2 ppl but:
1. both guys pull the head as fast as they can
2. 1 guy works on swapping the pistons while the other guy changes the valves, valve springs, retainers, or whatever.
3. after head is done, other guy helps the 1st guy with the pistons.
4. once done, reinstall head and new valves. check timing.
5. install supercharger.
two well trained technicians with ample knowledge of the S2000 could do it.
