Is that serious? You don't need a "lawfirm", or whatever type of scam that thing is that you posted, to help you fight a ticket. If you weren't going as fast as they said you were, then go to court, fight it, and alot of the times if you take it that far they won't give you the points and just ask that you pay the fine. I think if I read that right, it stated that they only cover you from $5 to $69.95, if you were <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by CJ0 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">speeding today doing 69 in a 45 </TD></TR></TABLE>, then I'm guessing your fine is more than $70. I usually fight it no matter what, maybe you get lucky, officer doesn't show, or you catch them on a good day, and you get off without the points.

Yeah, on the track and drag strip. Not too much for the streets where innocent people are around.

If you want advice, I've gotten like 15 tickets before lol

Go to court. There will be tons of people there, just like you.

A prosecutor calls your name (there are like 3 or 4 so it's pretty noisy in there) and you go talk to the guy. They'll probly say "69 in a 45, huh?" or something like that, and then you explain your situation. "Blah blah BS blah.."

The prosecutor then decides to keep the ticket price at the stated rate (however much your was, it should say it on the ticket or it may be mailed to you), OR they lower the price or drop it altogether. They pass it onto the judge who signs off on it.

Every single ticket, I went to court. And every single time, the ticket was either lowered by half price or dropped completely.

Go to court. The prosecutors and judges like to see that you at least made an effort to show up and state your case, whatever it may be.

Dress nice, too!

Good luck.

You also must take into consideration the area you live in. I have attempted to fight tickets in hope that the cop is a no show...Not the case in Orange County CA, they show up ready to prosecute to the fullest extent. Obviously it doesn't hurt to try but if I can remember correctly if you fight a ticket and loose you can't go to traffic school (correct me if i'm wrong).

Anyway i've gotten six tickets in my day and its just best to keep your spirited driving to the track.

I got a bullshit racing ticket. It was toatlly bogus and I tried to fight it. They tried to suspend my license.

They only deal they offered me was 6 points, $312.50, mandatory driving school, and a two year suspended sentence for six months if I am in court for a ticket again.

Make sure you know the penalties associated with the ticket before you try to be all brody like I did or they will stick it to you while you are not looking.

Good luck in court big guy.

That sucks man, i got pulled over last night doing 65mph in a 35mph zone at 2am and got a verbel warning. I'm not saying it was my police id that did it but i'm sure it helped. Nice officer too.

There's actually legit ways around it without having to get a lawyer and what not. You can set a court date and about a week before the court date and call them up with an excuse to reschedule the court date (like you are going out of town on business etc...) and you can continously do this. It is not illegal. More likely if you keep rescheduleing it long enough down the road when you actually go to court the officer will more likely forget you and forget that day. The cop HAS TO remember you, remember that day and make sure all speed detecting devices were calibrated. He/she also has to prove it was you speeding and it was your car he clocked. If he used a laser then it's a lot more accurate then the normal dash mounted radars they have but does not mean YOU still can't fight it. Nothing is ever accurately correct. Cops give out tickets on assumptions A LOT. If you do some research you'd find out a lot about the devices cops use and how it works. Don't assume you're screwed because the cop said so. That's what a lot of people do and end up paying tickets out the wazoo when half of them weren't even their fault.

To avoid any tickets and what not.. don't speed simple as that. There is no reason to speed because you'll end up getting to your destination 9 times out of 10 at about the same time you would if you were going normal speed.

Man up and pay your fine for putting the public in danger. Believe me, if you can't afford a ticket, you can't afford to speed.

Man I love that too.

I try to keep it at 5 mph over or less. The only time I speed is on long trips on freeways. 5 mph could save 45 mins and most are doing +20 mph over in Chicagoland anyways; even non-EP minvans.

Yeah dude you don't need a lawyer for that, just go to court yourself and make up some sad story and also try to include your too poor to pay for the ticket and the resulting increase in your auto insurance.

don't need a "sad sad story" There are legit ways around it without a lawyer. I have gotten out of so many tickets because of legit ways of fighting a ticket. It helps when you know about what you're getting into not hoping someone will take your side because you have a "sad sad story". That's just ignorance if you think that way.
